THE INTENTION: A Creative Reset at Sea
We spend so much of our lives building businesses, making work, and keeping up that it's easy to lose sight of what made us curious in the first place. Sway at Sea trades the noise for the quiet, and the pressure to produce for the freedom to explore. We'll move our bodies, share stories under the stars, and make things simply because we can.
Join us for our second women’s sailing retreat! This year, we are headed to Guadeloupe, where we will spend six days aboard Tiger Lily, sailing, exploring, and creating amongst a crew of amazing women. Nourish the body and mind with us as we incorporate creative rituals, yoga, breathwork, and journaling into our daily adventures.
THE Sailing:
We’ll sail one to two hours a day, hopping between islands. Each morning, Phoebe briefs the crew on the day ahead, and we prep the boat together. There's no test at the end, and there's no experience level to reach—the goal is confidence on the water and a taste of the sailing life.
This is a unique opportunity to learn the art of cruising from an experienced female captain and crew. In addition to sailing and creating, we’ll hike scenic trails, snorkel colorful reefs, and enjoy fresh, plant-based meals to fuel our activities.
A Typical Day Aboard:
MORNING DRIFT: movement, breathwork, or simply a quiet start to the day.
THE DAILY CURRENT: a short journaling reflection or conversation before our daily sail.
OPEN STUDIO: creative time until lunch—bring your own ritual or join our curated offering.
OFF THE CLOCK: read, explore, paddleboard, swim, or do absolutely nothing.
EVENING TIDE: dinner and a sunset gathering, with an optional sharing circle.

Sailing requires flexibility, which is kind of the point! We let the wind decide where to take us. Possible stops include:
Les Saintes: a beautiful protected bay, colorful waterfront village, hiking and plenty of places to explore ashore.
Marie-Galante: a quieter island known for its beaches, small villages, sugarcane fields and traditional rum distilleries.
Guadeloupe’s southern coastline: Experience secluded anchorages
Pigeon Island: Dive into Cousteau Reserve’s famous snorkeling spots with vibrant marine life.
We’ll use the forecast, sea state and wind to choose the route that gives us the best week on the water.

Arisa is a RYT200, photographer and lover of the ocean who finds inspiration through the art of slowing down and reconnecting with nature. She has been sailing recreationally for over 10 years and her intention for these offerings are to continue building community and empowering women to build confidence on the water and in themselves.
Phoebe is a lifelong sailor and outdoor adventurer. She holds both an RYA Yachtmaster Offshore and USCG 50-ton Masters license. She has over 15,000 nm logged professionally, grew up sailing in Michigan, and has dreams of sailing around the world. When she’s not working, she enjoys working out, writing, and freediving! Her intentions are to create a fun + welcoming environment in which to learn sailing and experience this adventurous lifestyle!

January/February is an excellent time to sail Guadeloupe, with warm temperatures, generally drier conditions and steady easterly trade winds.
Expect daytime temperatures around 79–84°F (26–29°C) and sea temperatures near 80°F / 27°C. Brief showers and stronger trade winds are possible, so we keep the route flexible and choose anchorages based on the conditions.

Fly in/out: Pointe-à-Pitre International Airport (PTP)
Dinghy Pickup/Drop-off at Marina Bas-du-Fort
We strongly recommend arriving at least one day before boarding, giving you time to settle in and leaving room for delays.
If your schedule allows, adding a night or two ashore before or after the passage is worthwhile, there is considerably more to Guadeloupe than we can explore from the boat in a single week.
