Details:
Spend a week sailing through St. Vincent and the Grenadines, beginning and ending in Bequia aboard Tiger Lily.
This trip is built around shorter island-to-island sailing legs, beautiful anchorages, hands-on sailing and plenty of time to explore ashore or get in the water. The Grenadines are ideal for this kind of trip: the islands are close enough together to keep the sailing varied without feeling rushed.
-
This is a great week for anyone who wants a mix of sailing, learning and Caribbean exploring.
You can take the helm, trim sails, help with anchoring and navigation, or simply enjoy the ride between islands. With shorter passages than some of our one-way trips, there is more time for swimming, snorkeling, walking ashore and enjoying life at anchor.
It’s still a hands-on sailing experience, but with a little more room to slow down and enjoy where we are.
-
Training is tailored to your experience and interests and happens naturally throughout the week.
You’ll have opportunities to work on helming, sail handling and trim, anchoring, navigation, weather, route planning, boat systems and maneuvering.
Because the sailing legs are generally shorter, this trip is especially well suited to guests who want plenty of hands-on practice without committing to longer offshore passages.
-
We’ll begin in Bequia, where the first day is spent settling aboard, getting familiar with the boat and completing our safety orientation before getting underway.
Possible stops may include:
Mustique
Canouan
Mayreau
Tobago Cays
Union Island
Other anchorages throughout the Grenadines depending on conditions
The exact route will depend on the weather, trade winds and what the group wants to get out of the week. We may visit several islands or spend more time in fewer places if we find somewhere worth lingering.
-
Expect consistent easterly trade winds (15–25 knots), warm tropical temperatures, and excellent visibility. Occasional brief showers are possible, but most days offer ideal conditions for both learning and cruising comfortably.
