COASTAL CRUISING & OFFSHORE SAILING EXPERIENCE - 200NM /8 Days
AVAILABLE
Boat: Tiger Lily
Crew: Phoebe & Braden
$11,900 per cabin / $21,420 whole boat
Details:
Sail north through the Windward Islands aboard Tiger Lily, beginning in Bequia and finishing in Dominica.
This one-way passage combines meaningful sailing miles with some of the Caribbean’s most memorable island stops. Depending on the weather and conditions, our route may take us through St. Vincent, St. Lucia and Martinique before continuing north to Dominica.
It’s a great fit for guests who want a little more passage-making while still having time to explore along the way.
-
This trip is about the journey as much as the destination.
We’ll spend more time underway than on our shorter island-hopping trips, giving you the chance to get comfortable with longer sailing legs, navigation between islands and the changing conditions that come with moving through the Windwards.
There will still be time to swim, explore ashore and enjoy quieter evenings at anchor, but the sailing itself is a bigger part of this experience.
-
This trip gives us plenty of opportunities to work on the skills involved in longer coastal and inter-island passages.
Guests can take part in helming, sail trim and handling, navigation, weather interpretation, route planning, anchoring, boat systems and passage preparation.
For anyone wanting to move beyond short day sails, this is a very useful week for building confidence underway.
-
We’ll begin in Bequia, with time to settle aboard Tiger Lily, complete our safety orientation and talk through the forecast and route ahead before getting underway.
Possible stops may include:
St. Vincent
St. Lucia
Martinique
Dominica
The exact route will depend on the wind, sea state and weather windows. Some legs may be longer than others, and we’ll choose our stops based on the best combination of sailing conditions and places worth exploring.
-
April offers some of the Caribbean’s best sailing. Expect steady easterly trade winds of 15–20 knots, warm days around 82–85°F (28–29°C), and comfortable nights. Seas are typically well-organized (2-2.5m), making this an excellent time for a first overnight passage.
