Enjoy a weekend escape to Block Island, just a few hours sail from Newport, RI. Experience the beauty of New England summer the best way possible, by sailing! We’ll get some miles in sailing to and from the island, with plenty of time in between for exploring, diving into Island’s rich history, or just relaxing. This hands-on sailing trip is designed for those who want an introduction to cruising aboard a performance catamaran. Whether you’re an experienced sailor or a beginner, this is the perfect opportunity to refine your skills, relax on the trampoline, and see some of the best that the New England area has to offer.

• ITINERARY:

  We choose our itinerary based on the weather, but expect daily sailing activities and excursions from one picturesque anchorage to another. Your three-day journey highlights include:

  • Newport, Rhode Island: the yachting capital of the USA!

  • Block Island: a lovely island off the coast of RI, rich in history and natural beauty.

• WEATHER:

  During July, Rhode Island experiences its hottest and sunniest weather of the year, making it a prime time for outdoor activities and coastal adventures. Expect average highs around 78°F (26°C), lows near 66°F (19°C), with sunny skies and the occasional rain shower.

• Travel Logistics:

  • Dinghy pickup will be in Newport, RI, with lots of travel options close by, including the TF Green International Airport in Warwick, RI.

  • Please book local accommodations for the evening prior to and after our planned departure / arrival. Flexible bookings are always preferred, though we do our best to depart and arrive on schedule.

  • You have the option to spend the night onboard before and/or after, if you wish. This includes dinner and a light breakfast, with arrival after 4pm, and departure at 9am for $400 / night.

• PRICE:

  Our prices are all-inclusive once aboard, covering meals, snacks, refreshments, evening sundowners, and mooring or docking fees. Not included: Transportation to/from the program and meals/drinks ashore.
