Details:
Join us for a week of Mediterranean adventure as we sail from Ibiza to Mallorca, blending island cruising with an open-water passage across the Balearic Sea. This trip offers the perfect mix of exploration and seamanship learning to plan a coast-to-coast passage, select sails for changing conditions, and enjoy life aboard a performance catamaran. Expect lively sailing days, quiet anchorages, and plenty of time to unwind in the sun-drenched beauty of the Balearics.

This trip combines the rhythm of coastal cruising with the challenge and reward of a short offshore leg. You’ll take part in the passage planning process, learn about weather routing and sail selection, and help trim sails and take the helm as we make the longer crossing to Mallorca. Once there, we’ll slow things down, anchoring in turquoise bays, swimming off the stern, and exploring picturesque coastal towns. Evenings bring good food, great company, and the satisfaction of a day well sailed.
-
Our route will be shaped by the weather, but expect a balance of hands-on sailing and island time. Highlights may include:
Cala d’Hort (Ibiza): sail past Es Vedrà and anchor beneath towering cliffs
Formentera: swim in turquoise lagoons before setting course east
Offshore Passage: learn passage planning, watchkeeping, and sail management during the open-water leg to Mallorca
Cala Figuera: explore this charming fishing village tucked into a dramatic cove
Porto Cristo: stroll the harbor and visit Mallorca’s coastal caves
Cala Mondragó National Park: unwind in crystal-clear water surrounded by protected coastline
-
The training is tailored to your interests, goals and experience level. Throughout the passage, you’ll gain practical experience in:
Route and passage planning
Weather routing and sail selection
Watchkeeping and helming
Anchoring and coastal navigation
Boat systems and safety procedures
You’ll be part of the crew, learning by doing, sailing by feel, and discovering what it means to move confidently between islands under sail.
