Exumas Holiday Week (7 Days)

Coastal Cruising Experience - 100NM /7 Days

Details:

Welcome aboard for a full week of cruising through the Exumas. We’ll have plenty of time for both learning and exploring on this seven-day trip. The Exumas offer incredible cruising grounds for practicing boat handling, navigation, coastal route planning, and anchoring/mooring. We’ll spend our days sailing, snorkeling, hiking short trails, and relaxing into the slow-paced cruising lifestyle.

  • We choose our itinerary based on the weather, but expect daily sailing activities and excursions from one picturesque anchorage to another. Your five-day journey highlights include:

    • Shroud Cay: Dinghy through lush mangrove creeks to the oceanside for a hike and beach walk.

    • Warderick Wells: Our favorite spot for hiking, stunning views, tidal pools and stromatolites (look it up!). Snorkel among healthy coral, eagle rays and reef sharks.

    • Compass Cay: Hike the island’s trails, explore hidden beaches, and snorkel the ‘Sea Aquarium.’

    • Staniel Cay: Snorkel the iconic Thunderball Grotto and pay a visit to the famous swimming pigs.

    • Stocking Island: A laid-back island offering a great taste of Bahamian hospitality (aka conch salad!)

Sailing over the shallow, blue-hued Exuma Bank is a breathtaking experience in itself!

  • April is an excellent time to sail in the Exumas. The warmth is gentle and consistent, ideal for daytime sailing and breezy evenings on deck. Expect daytime highs around 81-83°F and cooler nighttime temperatures of 72°F.

The typical easterly winds around 10–15 knots make for ideal sailing conditions.

Sea temperatures in March average 77°F, great for snorkeling, diving, and swimming. Skies are mostly sunny with moderate humidity and only brief, passing showers.

    • Fly in/out: Lynden Pindling International Airport (NAS)

    • Dinghy Pickup/Drop-off TBD

  • Our prices are all-inclusive once aboard, covering meals, snacks, refreshments, evening sundowners, and mooring or docking fees. Not included: Transportation to/from the program and meals/drinks ashore.
